Small Garden Harvest - Day 200
Upon arriving at the cabin very late the previous night, the first thing to do in the morning was to see what could be harvested. Radishes and potatoes are a good start.

Antique Record Player - Day 199
This old hand crank record player has been in the cabin ever since I can remember. We even have records for it. I can remember Mom cranking it up when we were little kids and playing the albums.

Split Pea Soup for Dinner - Day 197
Andersen's Split Pea is the best place to go for Split Pea Soup I have found. The windmill feature on the building makes it easy for a hungry, weary traveler to spot while driving down I-5.

Baby Quail - Day 194
Been trying to get descent pictures of these little guys. They are tiny and fast. This is the best I've been able to do so far and it's not much. Trying to take through a window doesn't help!

Too Hot - Day 191
Apparently we live in the cool part of town. I was told the high for the day at the airport in Phoenix was 113. The 110 at our house (showing in the lower right corner) seems "cool" in comparison.

Choochokam Festival - Day 189
Choochokam is held annually in Langley, Washington. This year the weather was perfect for enjoying the art booths, food, entertainment and people watching.
And we end the day with a beach fire.

A Whidbey Fourth of July - Day 186
The Fourth of July just wouldn't be complete without some fresh picked Pacific Northwest strawberries. Mmmm...
Or watching the ships headed for sea at sunset while enjoying an adult beverage.
Eventually we head for the beach with our goodies and set up a beach fire (a very safe distance from the goodies).
It's impossible to wait until dark to begin shooting off the fireworks so some folks start with the safe and sane stuff.
Then it's on to the big stuff.

Pearl Street, Boulder, Colorado - Day 182
Pearl Street is the place to be on a warm weekend evening in Boulder, Colorado. Let's take a walk.
The shops are kinda fun too.

Musicians of every age and walk of life are out playing any kind of music imaginable. Some great, others not so.
The kiddies even have a spot to cool off before bed.
The shops are kinda fun too.
Then there are the jugglers, contortionists and other street performers. This fellow does various Yoga poses while balancing a flaming chair on his head.
The Pearl Street Pub & Cellar holds a special place in our family's memories.

Kitty Photo Shoot - Day 179
Oldest Daughter has a couple of neighbor kitties who provide plenty of fun entertainment for someone with a camera.
The white one was in the mood to pose.
...and taunting.

The white one was in the mood to pose.
Even climbing down out of its tree for some photo ops.
Or so I thought initially. She was probably taunting her friend who, unbeknownst to me, was higher up in the tree.
Then it was back to posing...
...and taunting.
