Last Photo - Day 366

This is it. The last photo from my project 366 for the year 2012. Last year (2011) when my daughter found out about this project, she made a special photo album for me to put the Best of the Best in. I selected three of my favorite pictures and laid them out on page one and took a picture. It seemed like a fitting way to end the year.

Project 366 has been a fabulous experience but I have to say, I'm happy to be done. I took at least one picture every day in 2012 and posted on this blog. It was a lot of work but incredibly gratifying. There were days when I was definitely not at a loss for photographs and others where I would grab my camera at the end of the day looking for something, anything to photograph. Surprisingly several of those turned out to be some of the best pictures! The best part of this project is that I have definitely become more familiar with my camera and it's features. I have tried several new photographic techniques and the way I approach composition has certainly changed.

For 2013 I will not be continuing the daily photographs. However, I will still periodically post pictures both from last year and new ones. We love to travel and with family members spread all over the country, you never know what location pictures will appear from. So stay tuned.

Cruise Ships & Sea Turtles - Day 362

Our day in Georgetown, Grand Cayman was spent with our "best friends" from 6 cruise ships. They are used to dealing with 2 cruise ships in one day in Georgetown so things were a wee bit busy.
