Pumpkin Farm & Prairie Dogs - Day 295

Who can resist a pumpkin farm at this time of year. We stopped at Munson Farms outside of Boulder to get a pumpkin and found much, much more!

First, there were the Swan Gourds. I asked how they get them to look like swans and was told they just grow that way.

Cinderella Pumpkins:

The pumpkin patch had lots of scary characters.

We also stopped at the scenic overlook hoping to spot some prairie dogs. We weren't disappointed. They really crack me up.

Bicycling Along Boulder Creek & Through CU Campus

It was a beautiful fall afternoon in Boulder, Colorado. Perfect for a bike ride along Boulder Creek.

Even the deer were out enjoying the last warm days of fall.

The Flatirons from Farrand Field on the University of Colorado campus.

Slacklining is a popular activity of college campuses these days. I don't know how they do it.

Fall in Boulder, Colorado - Day 293

We hit the fall colors in Boulder a little on the backside. The leaves are really starting to fall.

This spot looks very different from last summer!

A Cool Barn And... Day 292

Headed out for a visit to the brand new National Archives facility in Broomfield, Colorado this morning (we flew in the night before). Got some bad directions from MapQuest which allowed me to stumble on this old barn.

Yes I did find the NARA facility which was actually in a hollow behind the barn a ways.

More on my day at NARA at The Turning of Generations. Soon.
