Progress on the Agave - Day 56

I'm pretty sure this is some sort of agave. It looks like it's getting ready to flower but it sure is taking it's time. The last time I photographed this plant was January 8th.

Every morning we see and hear a couple of Gila Woodpeckers either in love or trying to find love. This one sits on the same cactus. Or at least there is one on this cactus every day. Then there is another on our chimney. That one loves to hammer away on the metal. I hear they do that to attract the attention of a potential mate. Hopefully, it will happen soon!

My parents probably picked this up somewhere either before I was born or when I was very young because my memories of home always include this commode sitting in our kitchen. We were fortunate to be able to bring it home to Arizona this past fall where it now awaits a place in our guest room. Just have to get some things cleaned out first...

The University of Oregon was in Tempe for Arizona State University's Kajikawa Softball Tournament so we got to see Youngest Daughter and her new team!

We found these and other interesting bottles in with my grandparents things as we were cleaning out Mom and Dad's home. The bottle on the right is a bowling pin/bowling trophy/liquor bottle. Fun. They fit right in with the decor in our home.
