Bambi & Friend

Surprise!

This morning I was greeted by these two grazing in the front yard. Fortunately, when they left they didn't visit the vegetable garden.

Super Moon

Husband got up super early to catch the super moon at it's best. As it descended into the early morning haze over Phoenix it appeared to get even bigger.

CU Graduation

Last month a certain family member graduated from college. Yeah! Boulder, Colorado is a beautiful place and the university did a fabulous job of showing off the local on the big screen. I love this picture of the flatirons just as they were switching to the graduates.

Julie Andrews gave the commencement address and she was fabulous! She is timeless in her appeal to all generations.

Out for a Walk

I've been trying, unsuccessfully, for quite some time to get a good picture of baby quail. They are so fast it's almost impossible to focus on one. This is a decent picture of the whole family out for a walk. We had to let the wildlife camera get this shot.

Wiley Coyote

We have had quite a bit of coyote activity on the wildlife camera this week. They are probably out hunting the bunnies.

We finally got a true night photo too. You have to stick around to the last photo to see it!

This day they were working as a team.

And someone caught red handed at night.

Playing and Hunting

The wildlife camera caught quite a few images over the past week.

Something (we believe it's a bobcat due to the striping on the legs) came blazing through probably on the chase for a meal.

The bunnies have been having fun too.

Tomorrow I'll have some Wiley Coyote photos.

Wildlife on the Move

Within several days of setting up the wildlife camera we had a flurry of activity. Including a large bird that decided to rest on the camera!

Early on the morning of May 11 some shadowy figures passed through.

Here's a close up...

As they moved along the wash, we could see it was a family of javelina.

A couple hours later, a coyote wandered by.

Then early the next morning something came through at a fast rate of speed. Must have been on the hunt.

We have repositioned the camera and I'll post pictures when we have something exciting to report.
