Aerial Views - Day 72

We like to drive up into the flatirons outside Boulder when we visit. The views are fabulous.
Above is the Columbia Cemetery and the University of Colorado campus.
Downtown Boulder.

Then it was back to Arizona.
Civilization butts right up against the Tonto National Forest and then suddenly, it's all desert.

With a chain of lakes beginning with Saguaro Lake that supplies the Phoenix area with water.

ASU's Sun Devil Stadium nestles up against A Mountain in the upper left corner of the picture. Just to the right of A Mountain, are the white towers of the historic Hayden Flour Mill. The Tempe Town Lake has been a welcome addition to the dry desert in recent years. A stretch of the Salt River was blocked off and filled with water to form the lake.
